Overview

This Bambi has been raised 2.5 inches to handle off road applications. In addition, it has the Airstream aluminum Rock Guards on the front to protect the lower portion of the trailer from any kicked-up rocks. I live in Denver and purchased the trailer in the summer of 2016 and have taken the trailer once or twice a year to southern Utah about 500 miles one way. I would then camp in one spot for 2-3 weeks, then return home. Point being, is that this trailer has very low miles on it. Probably less than 8,000 in total. I have driven the trailer off road very slowly and have not abused it. It has performed beautifully in all my travels on and off road and is a dream to stay in it with all the normal Airstream amenities - (Microwave, refrigerator with freezer, sink, running water, 2 burner propane stove, inside bathroom with shower, TV, great stereo, AC for really hot days, and kitchenet). I just replaced the mattress with a new AB Lifestyles - firm mattress - 6" thick - still in the plastic bag.

The interior is the standard equipped and of Airstream quality I have not added anything new. I have replaced the AC/DC Inverter - 2022, and the Propane detector as required by law in 2022.

Also, in fall of 2023, I replaced the electric jack system with a heavier duty jack. It has new tires as of 2023 (should be good to 2028). All systems are "good" and in normal working order.

I have a sway bar hitch with a 2" receiver. Winterization has been performed by myself using forced air and then RV grade antifreeze pumped through the system. I had my Airstream dealer install a rear backup camera - blue tooth - system as well. Plus, there are Tire Pressure Sensors on the tires and a Bluetooth receiver as well. I have purchased two AGM deep cycle batteries for travel, and for winter I use a standard battery for the system, the AGM's are kept inside the house for storage. The water heater is "treated and flushed" each year before use to eliminate calcium residue and buildup. During the winter when not traveling, I kept a small space heater in the trailer set to 60 degrees so I did not have to remove all my summer items and to keep them from freezing. The Bambi has not been in any vehicular accidents, and has no hail damage.

I have had the Bambi in cold weather while camping - down to 24 degrees at night in the deserts of Utah - and while running the normal inside heater, I did not have any freeze up issues. Was nice to come in from a cold hike and warm up instantly.
